As I promised, a very brief entry. I sketched the critter at right while celebrating Eat an Animal for PETA Day at Charlie Brown's, a local steakhouse chain.

In its present state as a first draft, I conceive of it as a flying critter that got its start as something analogous to a flying fish. In common with other forms of life on Eio, it 'sees' at higher frequencies in the electromagnetic spectrum than we do. I think that its snout is specialized for sucking up the Eaian version of insects (some of which are shown in rough detail in the center of the drawing), and it has an electricity-generating organ that it used either as a lure or as a strong EMF source that 'blinds' or bedazzles its prey. The text at upper left reads 'EMF lure.'
