Update tomorrow night...

Update: While attending a local ballgame, I sketched out another alien. The view below is the first one I drew, and shows the critter from the back and right side. The ridges on the back may be remnants of gill-like organs redefined by natural selection... The ear is below and slightly forward of the round "topknot" protuberance on top of its head.

Somerset Alien 1

I tried to draw a front view next...

Somerset Alien - front attempt

Starting from below the topknot and continuing down the head, we have vestigial horns (possibly sharpened and dyed for ceremony), nostrils, some deep set beady eyes, and a fangorious mouth. I don't much care for this version, but the previous two drafts were even more unsatisfactory. I shall rework it a few more times and see what comes of it. I'm not sure which direction in which to take this critter; it might fit into Bune as a cousin race to the Eaie, or it may even be related to the sharts.

Until!
